Research Interests:

Every summer, third-year midwifery students and faculty members travel to partner communities in Uganda and Nepal to assist local midwives with primary maternity care.
Based mostly in hospitals and urgent care centres, midwifery students have the opportunity to cement their clinical skills by helping to treat a high volume of women and newborns and managing birth complications. Faculty and students also present workshops to local midwives on topics of the local choosing, building capacity for evidence-based best practice midwifery care in the community.
